Review: Fidella, Shebra Smoke
It was the day of a wrap meet, I decided to go along, as these things are not only social events but great places to pick up new information on baby wearing techniques, carriers, wraps & maybe even have a gander at a cheeky stash or two. My wrap however had been forgotten in the wash overnight, & there was no way it was going dry in time! "Come down anyway, try some of ours!" They messaged me, so I decided to venture to the library where it was being held.
When I arrived I was greeted by some lovely mamas and spied a stash pile which one of the ladies' toddlers had emptied from an ornate suitcase.
The two wraps that caught my eye were a fluorescent pink and white Indio & a grey and white zebra wrap.
I decided I'd try the size 5 zebra, I picked it up and it was incredibly soft to the touch.
I popped A in a FWCC and it was pretty comfy! The passes glided over each other easily & it definitely had a "smooshy" almost buttery quality, whilst remaining relatively lightweight.
Due to the glide I wasn't sure how the wrap would hold up for long "ups." It seemed to stay in place, but I don't think it'd be rock solid for long journeys. Not to the extent that it'd come loose completely but, I feel as though the little one would sit a smidge lower after a few hours or so of wear, especially in sloppy wrap jobs.
It's definitely one I'd like to revisit. The softness means that even the fussiest of shoulders could find this cotton/ hemp blend comfortable & the blend itself means it'd be breathable even in summer. The Shebra smoke has been given the tick of approval by 'A' who happily sucked on the top rail near the shoulder pass. Hahaha... babies...
