Review: Kokoro - Kairos, Botan

Jag känner en bot. Hon heter Anna. Anna heter hon.

Haha, no I don't speak Swedish but as soon as this pretty pink Kairos (3) landed I had the song 'Boten Anna' stuck in my head for a week.

It has nothing to do with Kokoro or wraps and is actually about a gaming admin, I digress.

I was never a pink wrap fan, but as soon as I opened the package my reaction was "Oh! That's pretty!" Safe to say I've been converted and even donned lippy to match.

The blend itself is 50% Egyptian cotton and 50% Organic cotton - very breathable for the warmer months. It's quite thin and soft in hand, yet dense. It almost feels a little "sheet-like."

The kairos pattern provides some texture which allows for a little grip, once you wrap in this it's not going anywhere quickly.

The grip isn't enough to affect the glide of passes, which are passed and tightened with ease.

The Kairos design is a hand drawn, modern take on chrysanthemums, which have been mirrored into diamonds. The clean lines & contemporary pattern reflect the high end nature of the brand as well as the organic and Japanese roots (even though from the Netherlands) of Kokoro. The colour is composed of variations of pink and creamy ecru.

It feels pretty durable and due to the tight weave it isn't pull prone. That said, as with all travellers, I didn't wear my wedding ring or any jewellery for the duration of her stay.

Upon throwing it into FWCC (tub) for the first time I noticed there was a little dig and substantial wrap burn at the shoulders. Not a lot of stretch or give.

It held beautifully in ruck, shepherds, DH etc.

Post-breaking in it was quite different. It softened and became quite buttery and almost blankety, almost like it had "fluffed up" yet remained thin.

I found running it through rings the best way to break it in. From what I've heard this wrap resets with every wash, but can be re-broken in quite quickly.

Botan is the perfect summer wrap for a little squish once broken in, otherwise it'd be great for toddlers in double carries. It is quite easy to manage and suitable for newbie wrappers and advanced alike.

I'll have to admit, Botan inspired me to step out of my box in regards to colour ways and I even caught myself singing 'James Blunt - Goodbye My lover' as I was packing her away to send off.
